Foster Care Fortnight

Enquire now

We believe keeping local children and young people rooted in Reading makes a difference

We have, on average, 270 children and young people in our care. We’d like as many of these as possible to stay in Reading with a loving family.
Children and young people need to be looked after close to their home so that they can stay at their school, be close to their friends and have contact with their family. This instils a sense of belonging and minimises disruption to their lives.

Learn #WhyWeCare about keeping children and young people rooted in Reading from these stories by young people in care and foster families.

This year you could make a difference to a child’s life by becoming a foster carer.
