Fostering information stand
Foster Care Fortnight is just around the corner! This year we’re celebrating the strength and resilience of our #FosteringCommunities.
Why not join us and see how you can change a child’s life in Reading?
We’re hosting an information stand talking all things fostering. We’ll be joined by our one of experienced foster carers to share their experience and honest feedback on what it’s like to foster.
Come along on the day anytime from 2 to 4pm – we’ll be in the reception area at the Civic Offices.
No need to book – just turn up on the day.
See you then!
Children Helping Children at The Hexagon
Ah what an evening that was!
Our friendly fostering team attended last night's Children Helping Children concert at Reading's Hexagon.
The event is long-standing tradition and a celebration of some of the best talent across our schools. With music, dance and drama performances, the funds raised will go towards two Berkshire-based charities, Daisy's Dream and Bounce Back 4 Kids.
At our fostering stand, we were joined by our experienced foster carer, Conrad. Mayor of Reading, Cllr Rachel Eden and Deputy Mayor, Cllr Debs Edwards stopped by and showed their support too!
Conrad reminded parents and other guests that they can foster - even if they have their own children. Our foster carers' sons and daughters find it an enriching experience, helping them learn and develop as an individual.
We have a special club for our foster carer's children to celebrate them too - The Foster Squad!
